Autumn Leaves

The crisp gilded leaves of autumn sigh As marshmallow clouds are drifting by Dry falling leaves rustle on zephyr breeze their gentle melody whispers in the trees I watch leaves twirling down to the ground The once new leaves now dry and browned A kaleidoscope of colors, rust, ochre, brown and red branches look so bare once all the leaves are shed I adore the rich colors found at fall It’s my favorite season of them all Vermillion Autumn Couplets Poetry Contest Sponsored by Vermillion Scythe 10/3/18

Hi Allison the rhyme and rhythm of your couplets flow, just as all the Autumn leaves fall. You can almost feel and see it happening whilst repeating your poem! Descriptive, romantic and simply beautiful. Great write! xoxo. Jennifer

Jan, the song, Autumn Leaves, has been, and always will be, a favorite of mine. Now, your poem is a fave for me. You, and your sage advice to me, are one of the greatest boons to my writing. You are a great influence to me and I appreciate your friendship. Congratulations on such a beautiful vision of Autumn!
