Autumn Leaves
The crisp gilded leaves of autumn sigh
As marshmallow clouds are drifting by
Dry falling leaves rustle on zephyr breeze
their gentle melody whispers in the trees
I watch leaves twirling down to the ground
The once new leaves now dry and browned
A kaleidoscope of colors, rust, ochre, brown and red
branches look so bare once all the leaves are shed
I adore the rich colors found at fall
It’s my favorite season of them all
