Autumn
The brilliant leaves of autumn
Softly fall, without a sound
In bright crisp autumn daylight
Dancing, silently, to the ground
Rustling sounds & brilliance
Fill the cool crisp air
Smells of apples & burning leaves
Linger everywhere
The brilliant leaves resemble
Pieces of a rainbow falling,
Dancing in the autumn sun
Leaving bare branches, winter is calling
As day ends, smoke rising from chimneys
Stretching to meet the moon
Footsteps crackling in the leaves
Reminding us winter comes too soon
