Autumn
September has ended although the warmth lingers
as over gold fields sun is running long fingers.
October will come in, bedazzling trees
while leaves bright and beautiful dance on each breeze.
October will exit with both fun and fright
as kids collect candy on Halloween night.
November’s arrival will make days get grayer,
but happiness reigns with each Thanksgiving prayer.
When there’s frost on the windows, folks say, “Winter’s here.”
But the fall lasts almost till the end of the year!
