The leaves are changing To different colors A wind is blowing The leaves are falling Spreading to the ground It is autumn season Now the time begins To rake fallen leaves That spread to the ground

Hello Deepa, yes the trees are empty without their leaves. Then winter comes and the snow falls on the bare branches. Until the wind bllows the snow off. Then empty again. Much love Darlene.

A lovely verse. Years ago, the burning of leaves was a tradition with everyone gathered around, but that is a no-no today.

I prefer to leave the foliage on the ground and sprinkle them with water. They produce soil and fertilizer. ~~

Hello Victor, I prefer that as well. Yet here we rake the fallen leaves and bag them to bring to the dump. I rather sprinkle them with water to return to soil and fertilizer. Enjo your day my friend.

No raking for me, I just wait for the wind and it blows them all out of the yard and into the field. Who ever planted these trees did a wonderful job with placement. Great Poem Darlene!
