"Your love of autumn spans your poetry; for where you dwelled, this season could not be. -by Poet Your love of autumn joy still sings; burnt orange, reds with golden glows. Within your poems, tribute flows. Though storms arrived with painful stings- two deaths brought winter to your heart. In time, new life you had to start. Your courage grew- then worry springs aft you renewed with life and friends- but much too soon- spring promise ends. In death, you rose with angel wings; at autumn's threshold- met and kissed the ones you lost- so dearly missed. There, your forever-autumn clings in Heaven's glory, with your kin; God grants this gift and leads you in. Your love of autumn joy still sings; Though storms arrived with painful stings- Your courage grew- then worry springs. In death, you rose with angel wings. There, your forever-autumn clings. Such a touching and poignant tribute to Connie's life and a beautiful use of her form. I love how you used the seasons as representatives of the events of her later life, both tragic and hopeful. Not only was her poetry and friendship exemplary, so was her courage to face hardship and move forward with optimism. Thank you for this, Sandra. God bless you ~ John
