As My Tears Fall For My Dad Any Sad Poem - Poetry Contest

One Father One Mother A bond from the heavens on the flight of a dove Unconditional love Perceived and felt first in their hearts ~ Sickness ~ Has taken daddy away With the release of a dove To be with his own parents in paradise No longer does he suffer He is sheltered in perfection from all illness, pain, and sorrow ~ I grief ~ Drowning in tears I wasn’t ready for him to leave ~ I miss ~ Looking at the man that was my hero His whispers when he’d say I love you The smell of his cologne ~ Though ~ I smile to know He still lives on in my heart His life has not ended ~ But ~ Started a new life in paradise I just would like to say I love you one more time 10/25/2015 By :Eve Roper Contest Name: Any Sad Poem - Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Broken Wings

I grew up with my grandparent hence when they depart I felt lost as I am not really close to any of my family.... I know how this feels... the grief and the longing and the love..~Olive Eloisa =`)

Yes, it doesn't matter who the loved one is, it hurts. There is always an empty feeling of despair that something is missing inside.

I feel the pain at the separation of the physical body that housed your father's spirit..It is hard to not be able to have the closeness of their presence but we do know that they have gone on to a far better place and are waiting for us to come be with them..Thanks for stopping by..I am to have eye surgery tomorrow..I will be away from my computer at least two days and possibly more just according to how I do..Sara

Can anyone help but be moved by your words of love and grief mixed together to honor your dad? I agree with others, we would all like to say "I love you" just once more. Thanks for reminding me of them. ps. Thanks for your note about the my entry in your "Halloween Moon" contest.

Thank you so very much, Jan, my daddy meant a lot to me. I was trying to move back to Texas so my husband and I could take care of him but he decided to give up before i could sell my home in Oregon. If he could have held another month and believe that I was moving back I believe he would have last lots longer.
