As I Look At the Moon
As I look at the moon prevailing after the rain
I see God smiling at me, ready to tickle my brain…
...while offering to me His peace-filled wisdom of great gain.
As I gaze at the moon with its gleam of hope and comfort*,
There’s God Who’s attentive to my heart's requests of any sort…
…presenting Himself as my steadfast support!
As I stare at the moon brightening the sky,
God reaches down to me in fellowship-nigh…
…and He assures my soul for a heavenly fly.
As I watch at the moon ruling the night with serenity,
God uplifts me by His security...
… indeed, I thank Him with fervent faith throughout eternity!
*Isaiah 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I (God) comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
