Artist of the Mind

He chisels off excess letters knowing brevity counts Then molding phrases into shape, he checks for tired clichés. The lightest touch of sandpaper on words hard to pronounce, creates unhindered flow in a poem which will inspire. He paints colorful shades of thought mid passion and desire to temper heads, hands, and hearts with ideas that amaze. A poem taken from his kiln, readied for some crossfire is composed in three-dimensions and each is paramount. written 16 April 2016, re-written 29 October 2016 with A B A C C B C A rhyme.

I thank you, Jannie, Originally, I wrote it for a contest that was discontinued. But it came in handy for this one, just a little adjustment on the unusual rhyme scheme.

thank you, Alexis. Like many other Americans (and people abroad), my placement was a shock not unlike the political scene today. Thank you for commenting.
