the Hallelujah Man

Stands on the corner of Main, and 1st.
It is or was the south east corner there.
Every day, “He” would point at me,
or you, or him, or her, or them, or us…
“God Love YOU MAN!

The corner is empty. It has been so a long time.
Yet, I can still see him standing there.
Every day, pointing at me,
or you, or him, or her, or them or us…
“God Love YOU MAN!

Because of Him I smile in the morning on my way to work.
The echo of his call in my head, staying there every day…
Until I too found God.

Your title just roped me in, Ann. I enjoyed this poem. It reminds me of a man in our city that I see often on the way to work. He shakes his walking stick and shouts good morning to every car that passes by.

There really are angels here among us... we just don't pay attention. Hugs... So glad you came by. Have the very nicest day my friend. Ann
