And Then He Saw Talent

Once upon then when he was young, He thought he was the best of the lot, Better than all of the other folks there, That he’d achieve all that he wants, He was the best driver on any four wheels, He could Scrabble like a champion at home, And draw a good picture of mountains and trees, And out-Tetris the Tetris alone, Until, one day, he ventured out of his home, Far from the small town he was raised, And met a sports driver cooler than cool, Whose driving put him in the shade, And a master of art, with a brush in their hand, Painted mountains as free as a bird, And a computer savvy teen professional player, Who served him up like dessert, Once upon then when he was young, He mistakenly thought he was the best, Until he met the actual talented folks, And he realized he was just like the rest.
