An Old Man's Eyes
Oh, to have seen through an old man’s eyes
When I was young and strong and full of surprise
I would have known what to keep, what to let go
Lost time is a heavy burden to tow
But then again, youth allows us such flair
To worry and fret over just what to wear
To shine up the car, who could want more
Than ten bucks for gas, oh so secure
Though wisdom is fine and life is still sweet
I wonder a difference , a life more complete
For now, to be grateful for all that I’ve learned
Is the goal for all of my days unturned
