An Initial Post-Marriage Poem

O invisible sympathetic listener Will it annoy my elder Hitler-sister-in-law? (O my colleague! An Arabian teacher, mocked English and fought me for its ambiguity); I mean my wife’s sister. Like the Jerusalem With ‘What Must Be Said ’! Or but to stop this stupid self is …! If I say I respect her,I kiss her on lips And eyes, Lift her up in arms And wrestle …! But to detest someone so dearly loved, Or forget — Seems unworkable …!
