An Age-Old Question

After a full day grubbing tussocks that infested public land, in a popular reserve that our committee had long planned, we relaxed and had a few drinks to help ease our aches and pains, and we spoke on many topics as we picked each others brains. On driving home one topic kept on rattling ‘round inside my head, and it really don’t affect me but it needs sorting what’s been said, so, to facilitate deep thinking, I need a quiet place with beer, to debate an age-old question that has never been made clear. The debate that is in question is for both sides of a coin; now is giving birth more painful than getting a kick in the groin? My resolution after much thought and a few more cans of beer, is simply that it favours men, yet both are filled with dreaded fear. I suppose that I am biased for I have never felt childbirth, but on the argument for men, just the once for what it’s worth, so, this is the reason why I have come to this conclusion, and I hope I’ve cleared the matter up without any confusion. A year after the pain of childbirth, you might hear a woman say, “it might be nice to have another child,” and I reckon that’s okay, but you can put your house on it; your car, and even your last coin, in fifty years, a man won’t say - “I’d like another kicking in the groin.”

I have tried to explain to my good lady on this topic, and failed, but you have put up an excellent argument. I shall memorize this, thanks! Regards, Viv

Lindsay, you ended this with such a whack of humor! Way to go! I loved your rhyming words, and how carefully you made sure each had the same amount of syllables.
