Ambulance Chaser

(after Huxley)

Time veers off the road
Time splatters across the pavement
Time blares with angry siren
Time and time and time again

Don’t borrow, don’t lend
Don’t confide in your friends
At the end of time, you’ll be alone
You’ll all be all alone

Time watches its own clock
Time knows a thing or two
Time brings you to your senses
Time and time and…

Don’t shatter
The china
In the parlors of your thought
All doubts converge into one
Like a battle always fought

Time must have a stop, someone once said.
Time knows the last message you’ll ever send.
