All of This and More

As a child I was stuck, traumatized and silenced By those in power who did the unspeakable Many years later, the treacherous path of re-living it all I pursued justice for myself and all others lost or hurting The soul is not free until it has truly felt and spoken Survival comes from truth and faith, we are all equal Justice is not revenge, but acknowledgement of crime Healing comes from starting over, re-creating a new life And as I heal, my life is lived to the fullest day by day - I am all of this and more - Heidi Sands 9/29/19 Placed 2nd in the story of my life contest.
