Afterlife
When I've taken my last breath,
and my eyes are closed in death,
it will not be the end of me,
for in Heaven with my Lord I'll be.
I will be perfect and complete,
and I'll bow at Jesus feet,
worshiping my Savior King,
because He is my everything.
Gently He will take my hand,
and lead me through His promised land.
With loved ones dear I will meet,
and I will dance on golden streets!
Not because that I've been good,
or have done all the things I should,
but only 'cause Jesus died for me.
On the cross Christ paid sin's penalty.
By His blood my sins were washed away,
so with Him forever I could stay.
He died for you as well as me,
if only you would just believe.
