Addiction From the Outside - Heroins Reprisal

Shadow of silence darkness abounding Cloak of disruption anger surrounding Awaiting the moment of disaster to prey Tumultuous faces turning astray Resilience bequeathed, resistance absurd Arduous path vindicating the urge Death at the narrows, helps ease all the pain Teeth clenched and gnashing the tourniquet strains Concoction unknown sizzles its guile The ply of the stamp offers up smiles A concave of filth welcomes the flame The warmth of the demon enters the vein The endorphins rush offset by the guilt A sorrowful soul so slowly killed The darkness of death offers escape Retention of those, who'll yet meet their fate

Thanks M.P. Shaudd. Herion addiction is taking my life. Not the way that sounds. It has a grip on my son. Your poem spoke volumes to my soul. Blessed be my friend.

My heart goes out to you Marie, I hope he can find the help he needs. Many blessings of strength for you and him. Your kind words make writing worth it. If each can only help one person, I've achieved my purpose.
