Abandon

Abandon caution. Let the dance begin. The dance of life you simply cannot shun. Let worries go, so joy can now flow in. Let bare feet touch the sand; stretch to the sun. Let sun’s bright rays embrace you. Take the chance that you’ve avoided; it’s still not too late. And don’t forget- it’s better when you dance with someone special. Do not hesitate to grab a partner – one who will be true. It’s much more fun than dancing all alone. Don’t take too long. Find someone who gets you - whose steps match yours even when you’re windblown! The shade is always there for you to stand in. Dance brightly when you can – with abandon! I really love reading it, yeah it s not important whether you can dance well or not, if you are doing it with someone special, you sure will love every single moment of it, even when you ll accidentally put yout foot on their's, dance is not only showing off, it can be a expression of love to a truly love one that we don t dance but we are happy to do it with you, gold luck in the contest and have a nice day

You live in the moment with such happiness, Andrea. Indeed, it is best to dance "with someone special." But alone or with a partner, keep dancing. Love this one, dear. Hugs, Carolyn

Take life by the throat, shaking out of it all the enjoyment you can. Your poem sure tells me that. I like your wanting a partner - everything is better that way.

I'm dancing all the time, fingers tapping, typing rhyme. Like you, I set my heart free, abanded, rejoicing in all I read! Your sonnet is no exception! Although my steps, not yet perfection. Thanks for sharing Andrea. Mick

I tend to favor Richard's line of thought and dance by myself. This is a fun sonnet, Andrea. very well written as usual:)

Sometimes dancing alone can be a hoot as long as no one catches you. But yes with a partner it’s better. Good luck in the contest.
