A World Without You
A world without you means I cannot see
your sweet sweet smile or beautiful brown eyes
fixated with such happiness on me
as if I were, for you, a precious prize.
It means I cannot touch your gorgeous face
or let my fingers linger on your cheek
as leaning into you, I start to trace
your honeyed mouth, which does not need to speak,
for all I want to do is kiss those lips
with lusciously deliberate delight
as twilight's sun behind the mountain slips
and I am left with holding you all night!
I know a world without you means all this
because for years now, I've not known such bliss.
