A Wonderful Pet
An umbrella is a wonderful pet
Specially designed to get real wet
Skies are gray? --- It won't complain
Au contraire: It'll even hope for rain
Yet go outside with it when it's hot and sunny
That's seen as quite normal, not strange or funny
And when it's neither a day of bright sun or hard rain
It's content to stay inside without going insane
You don't have to feed it or take it for a walk
There's no cleaning up after it or listening to it squaik
So why aren't umbrellas more popular as pets?
They're every bit as un-cuddly as geese or egrets
