A Sunny Day
A SUNNY DAY
A caterpillar crawls on vines
under blazing sunshine,
dreaming of debut of butterfly
to fly fluttering wings.
Lone eagle yearns to soar high
and to glide in kinetic mode.
A street dog showing long tongue with open mouth to gasp.
Happy grasshopper hopping on tiny feral grass-flowers.
The chameleon hued in multi-shades of brown and green,
cautiously moving to grasp the grasshopper.
It jumped but quick swift hopper flew away to nhale fresh air
escaping its clutch.
Next target of chameleon was to clasp and hold
the innocent nascent creature caterpillar sliding slow.
That was swallowed within moments.
None laments.
Nature follows ruthless laws.
