A Star In Your Sky
A STAR IN YOUR SKY
The sunburst colors of the crimson horizon
The blush of sky where it touches the land bent
As it dons the tapestry of the unfurled dawn
Flushing the glare of day on azure firmament.
In the gleam of twilight of the sundown hour
The birds caress the sky before they return to nest
And sing to the tune of the rhapsody of color
The strings of cloud compose, their creative best.
The sky shimmers in moon-soaked blue night
Spreads on land silver dust through the mystique air
On the sparkling adornment the stars shine bright
The bejeweled sky glimmers in rare celestial flair.
In my halcyon days I’ll grow wings to fly
As a twilight hummingbird in your surreal sky
After the sunset when I’ll depart and go away far
In your sky you’ll see me shine like a star.
