A Psalm For the Soul

Let me walk you under a gentle sky Where there’s no grief, no reason to cry, Where as far as your eyes can see Happiness and joyfulness reign freely. Beyond the wanton ways and lustful prowls, Swaggering struts and smirking scowls, Walk with me but with a humble heart With solemn tears and faith not far apart; And I’ll show you a blissful place to start From where peace and love never depart, Down by the river where a cool breeze blow under the sun where the golden daffodils glow. Gaze out of your window at the break of day Take a silent moment and stop to pray, While the world seemed harsh and busy you will feel your life unfolds leisurely. Over the cacophony of life and its grim control Lo, you’ll hear delightful psalms from your soul! ~"A place called Beautiful" contest by Janis Thompson
