Promise

Twilight descending on the surrounding hills ! I hear a lonely bird trill! The most soulful melody I ever heard! Isn’t she supposed to be in her warm nest? Quiet in slumber, together with her mate?  Her sorrowful song baffles me that she is still waiting! Although he promised to return in no time, Her doting mate is not yet with her, Is she going to croon all night long,   And fade away in the horizon! Mala, I enjoyed listening to this songbird's lonesome trill with you and wondering if it will be connected to her mate before the night is through. Lovely musings ~ John
