A Pledge of Glorious Gain
E-arly Wednesday morning,
N-ew dawn has come out;
R-aindrop from the sky
I-s not the reason to doubt.
B-eacon begins to shine,
E-rasing the vile weather;
L-et Tuesday night pass,
L-et the cold chill be
O-ver.
A-llow the sun to carry
P-ure delight to remember;
A-mazing clouds turn white,
T-wenty-eighth December.
A-s the soft wind blows beneath the wide blue lane;
N-ice day of your birth brings a pledge of glorious gain.
