A New Beginning Each New Day
A new day dawns with the sun to the east,
A renewed freshness of energy released.
For piles of trials and trivial pursuits,
Get ready and strap on your boots.
Out and about, and so it starts,
Another day of traffic darts.
School starts at eight,
Don’t ever be late.
Work at nine,
No sunshine.
But, hey,
It’s a new day,
Things to do, people to see,
Places to go to, don’t feel free.
Life’s eternal cycle of duties begin,
Goals to achieve, life’s rewards to win.
Round and round, ever striving to succeed,
And so it begins as this is how life is decreed
But to keep calm, tranquil, and to be of sound mind
Not forgetting to give love, make peace, and be kind.
