A Nail

I picked up a nail in the garden today, It got me to thinking of something to say. If you only need one nail to complete a job You don't give a thought to where it comes from You don't need to know how to make another Simply because you have no need for another That one nail has completed the job once and for all. So where am I going with this is quite simple. God. We only need one God. He makes our life complete We only need one Jesus, to show we only need one God We only need one Holy Spirit to guide us to God. We only need one nail to complete the job. The Romans decided to use three to complete the job. Their nails were actually 6 inch spikes of iron. Why use three? Why use any at all? To make a spectacle of this rebel who they feared? One spike through the head would have sufficed Then tie him like any other thief or rebel. Job done. Even 3 spikes were not enough, would never be enough. If death couldn't hold Him, nothing can. My belief and love was strengthened today All because I looked at one nail. We all have to choose the path we walk. I have chosen mine © Dave Timperley 14 November 2016
