This poem suggests what I have long believed: A mother's love is the most powerful force on earth. Nothing-- absolutely nothing--compares to it. Thanks, Jan. Hugs, Paul

Our son is home with us during pandemic 2020. One upside of the whole affair is families who have a chance to re-connect. Loved your touching poem, I know he makes his mum proud. Hugs ~ John

Children are such a blessing Jan. I loved hearing how your son was born. You are blessed that he is healthy, the most important thing. One day he can show this poem to his son or daughter! So sweet! Hugs xxoo

It is wonderful when they are born perfectly. Raising them and watching them leave the nest is sometimes difficult for a parent. I am glad he is home safe with mom.I read your comments below. A winning entry here Jan.

He flew the nest when he went to uni and then worked in London but has now come back to roost for the foreseeable future - many of the kids on the island have done the same... proof there is no place like home:-) hugs Jan xx

Beautifully done, and when they do leave home you can say "I did a terrific job!" because that is one of the ultimate goals of a parent- to enable them to recruit the skills necessary to leave home.

He is back home during lock down, but will be off back to London probably when it is safe to do so, having him home safe is the bestest thing ever!:-) hugs jan xx

A lovely tribute to motherhood Jan, you must be so proud. Glad he's there with you as its not quite over yet, another 351 deaths yesterday in the UK. Tom

He is so much safer here in so many ways Tom, glad the death rate is slowing in the UK - we have not had any in quite a few weeks and only 1 new case in 5 days so its looking promising but we can't be complacent, hope all is well with you and the family:-) hugs Jan xx
