A Little Bit of a Lie

It comes careening over the Mind’s eye through the night’s dead, it stays And you believe it… You hold it close to your heart and never let go of it, But that’s not the truth! A little bit of a lie is what they told you! But you believe it still, You are not stupid though; lies are sweet enough, justly honeyed To draggle you into their dregs deep__ And deeming such as truth, When such is no truth__ For a little bit of a lie is what they told you! It’s a beautiful lie they told you! It shells without a shadow of a doubt what you should have but you do not know, It coddles your soul and keep your spirit convoyed and tied in without a glitch, But a lie is a lie though the truth lie too! A beautiful lie is what they told you__ So pray that wholly truthful truth does not leak out, For it will rip open your heart to see? That a little bit of a lie is what they told you!
