A Lesson To Remember
"Be patient and wait for that day",
once more I heard the voice say,
repeating the words so quickly;
I lived in hopes till you finally came...
It was a lesson to remember,
I played at the wrong game;
it was a lesson to remember;
but I take all the blame!
"Be patient and wait for that day,"
the answer sounded insincere...
my hopes were high;
our fingers touched...
our lips moved,
and we talked...
The magic broke away,
and the dream faded away...
losing itself
in silence...
A lesson to remember;
only I will regret the distance...
