A Hurting Love

A HURTING LOVE You say you love me, But yet you hurt me; You come before me; You say you adore me; So why must I leave; Because of all this brutality; Come allow me; You say you want me; But yet you don't need me; You come before me; You say you forgive me; So why must I turn away; Because you say the same thing everyday; So why must I leave; Because of all this scrutiny; I can hardly breathe; Do you really, really, love me; So I surmise; I'll close my eyes; No! longer are you darling; 10/17/18 written by James Edward Lee Sr.© 2018
