A Drinking Man's Think

So often through a whiskey glass the world seems what it ought to be When times are good and laughs are high and sun sits firmly in the sky When love is but a sip away it’s easy to love everyone The pain is gone, at least for now so let the good times take a bow Yet glasses filled will emptied be and heads will ache for yin and yang So I think that I’ll find a glass that doesn’t knock me on my a$$

Let good times take a bow--I will drink to that, Mike. But the feeling of inebriation I can do without. Well written, as always.

I so agree, Mike, and you have penned a fine poem on the subject. I love a good drink now and then, myself. Long ago, now, but I can remember evenings when a drink or two made it "easy to love everyone." Those were good times, good feelings, and sometimes not so good results! Thanks for this one, Mike. Have a great Wednesday!
