On a dulcet day in mid-May,
Japanese cherry blossoms bloom.
And they release a sweet bouquet,
as potent as any perfume.
I love to take walks in the park,
under inked canopies of pink.
For though leafless trees are still stark,
winter's mark is starting to shrink.
