A Daughter

Angels in heaven rejoice today,
celebrating the gift sent your way.
Skin as fragile as the warmth of spring,
soft as a melody songbirds sing.
Eyes sparkle like dewdrops in a web,
liquid crystals that the mist has shed.
And cheeks like roses kissed by the sun,
a natural beauty nature's spun.
Sweet as a smile on a mother's lips,
or the nectar a honey bee sips.
Delicate as moonbeams on water,
God has blessed you with a daughter.
