A Crisp Walk In the Snow

Crunch as I walk along With footprints that follow A trail of fallen snow Frost has become my feet Biting up to my knees With a nose of red No cover over my head A breath of smoke l see With white glitter upon the ground Like twinkling stars all around I find no shelter to hold me From afar I see a light Warmth I do desire Yet my feet no longer wonder I lay upon these white sheets Resting until my death My breath now lacks fire Smoke has disappeared Silent I have become Asleep I shall be at rest Forever (This is a poem I wrote about a Search and Rescue mission I went on when we found man that froze to death in the snow right before Christmas)

It was sad but we also found many alive during the time I was with them!
