A Childhood Memory
One child memory brought much pain
Innocence lost, hurt was my friend
Love in itself was a hard strain
Until hope shows up
Slowly sadness came to an end
Joy is lives here now, it'll remain
But the past is there, why pretend
Took me some time to comprehend
That I must not let my past reign
Sometimes I self doubt and offend
Until hope shows up
