A BREATH of God

inbreathing
        indwelling
           beyond dispensation
       phenomena of the
deeper mind
            intertwined
with the holy breath
from within

a flow of energy
   in tender rapt expression
   estatic intuition
   elaborating endlessly

glimpsed then grasped
      this self revelation
       in visions&sights
equipped to speak to act

appointments
                  as
                      where&when

received by
         the sound in the air
heard in the heart

    He speaks

        He shows

           He knows

Brian, congratulations on your placement in my writing challenge. I love this poem a lot and it would have placed much higher except that my challenge had actually asked for poems judged in November and this was written December 1, but no matter I thought it was very worthy of showcasing ~

Brian, I so appreciate this introspective glimpse into your spiritual mind. Thank you for this thoughtful inner look. Joseph Campbell noted that all faith traditions end up in the same place. Being open to a greater force is the first step. A step we all can take because it is right there in front of us. Beautifully done.

Just my attempt Greg to describe in words some aspects of my Holy Spirit experience.Thank you for being on that wavelength (poetically) too.

This is a poem that demands--and deserves multiple readings, because each time I read it, I can interpret it in different ways-- much like God himself, you can sense His meaning but not grasp it--Him. A very underrated poem, it seems.

Thank you LJ, indeed my open form inclines to your observation and of course will the Holy Spirit, to those open to his leading thereof.
