Where There Is Light
When the light shines
On my special place
Within the soft darkness
I recognize your face
Not hidden nor overt
You come into view
I stood there and smiled
What else could I do?
In the beauty of night
When all appears clear
I put aside my hang-ups
For the things that I hold dear
Impatience wins
On an uncharted course
Staggering and falling
Without remorse
Forever smiling
While hope lights the way
True faith illuminates
Our movements each day
Hand touches hand
Heartbeats converge
The togetherness of souls
About to emerge
Smile from the heart
And bask in its light
For the future lies within you
Never out of your sight
