Mysterious are venerable trees.
The ancient massive trees one sometimes sees
deep in the woods exist in seeming ease
through endless cycles - spring to winter’s freeze.
In great tranquility stand such as these.
What changes have they seen through centuries?
What secrets have been whispered in each breeze?
Pondering, I gaze at sylvan beauties.
