Starry, Starry Night of Peace
"Starry, starry night,"
Listen to the words, my friends.
In this world of right and wrong,
do you wonder if you belong?
Listen carefully.
It seems that wars will never end.
What can poets do, my friends?
Warn mankind with love.
Close your eyes and see.
There is truth and there are lies.
Look into those starry skies.
Above is where the real truth lies.
REFRAIN:
Are you listening now?
Will you take a stand?
Spread your golden wings of love?
Do you know how?
On a starry night
Pick up your magic pens, my friends.
Write something that will soak in.
It's not enough to wait for war to end.
Let us write and rhyme,
Write warnings critical to life,
Let us write our friends and foes alike
Our mission to end the strife
Before it ends our life.
REFRAIN:
Are you listening now?
Will you take a stand?
Spread your golden wings of love?
Do you know how?
We are the stars of night.
Sparkle your paper now.
Let your muses guide your hands.
It is the time to write.
REFRAIN:
Are you listening now?
Will you take a stand?
Spread your golden wings of love?
Do you know how?
