On the Backside of 80, California November
Well, finally some good rains came
Nature greens up so well
Oppressive heat is gone
Bringing Life fresh up, from hell.
What to say is wrong… with this
Or who it is to fear
Cool evenings, colder mornings offer
Fall is truly here.
I hear the trees, ‘Is this our time to strip and fall
Or wait for skies a’thunderin’
For see with me, they dressed in multi-colors
Coats of Leaves a’wondering.
Well, it is Winter season coming
Windy Rains here, instead of snow
Some days get cold and nasty
Yet good, with AQI’s in 10 belows.
Hell, let’s leave Nature get right to it
Rest me indoors, It will nurture the dirt
To feed the new crops a’coming
Depends on what grows here, first.
As I... will just facilitate
What bees and birds need most
No more fancy gardening
Looking for selfish Self to boast.
Sorting is Nature’s greatest charge
In this, She takes little rest
No, let Her Nature teach me more of Her
Showing balance rules all best.
