Like An Angel

Soft mornings at sea always felt so good to me. Like an angel come down from the storm. Come to protect me. As lights shine from above. Maybe if I listened. I could feel your pain. It's not likely though. I'm too busy listening for my own pain. As I sat there long enough I came to realize. He was no angel at all. wrote Sept 29, 2015

The last phrase caught me by surprise. Listening to our own pain, so true sometimes that we forget others are dealing with as much if not more. He was no angel! May God Bless!

Well-written poem with a sad note on dejection in love.

A shocking realization, and not a happy one at the time, I am sure.

you could not find Don JOhnson on FB? Did you never have him friended there? That is the only way I saw it by typing in his name where my friends list is. Let me know if you don't have him friended. They may have changed the name of his page.

This is very cleverly done Debbie. When we become self-absorbed we don't realize what stands next to us. Amitiés

Hello Debbie. I believe in the concept of angels thus I turned to this entry. I read this entry and your words twice. I found your words to be true and then there it was the ending. I thought that clever and also true. Nice work throughout. Your ending leaves the reader to pause.

The starting point of this poem sounds somewhat sensual and romantic, but a Mirage of some sort is revealed later. But I love the content of language

Another "thought" piece that I just way too cool. I didn't expect that ending either but it fits so nicely.

The ending surprised me, Debbie. I was hoping for the serenity and beauty to continue. Yes, I often focus on my own pain as well...I'm sure there still are angels out there. Lovely piece. Hugs
