Green Worm Learns to Fly
A fairy friend of a green worm
Said she would teach him how to fly
His eyes glowed as he’d love to learn
And yearned to fly high in the sky.
We’ll create some wings fairy said
Cutting them out of green paper
Then sprinkle on sequins of red
And lift you with a makeover.
Fairy polished worm till he gleamed
Then fixed the wings upon his back
Green worm’s dream realised it seemed
At last giving flying a whack.
Worm was ready to fly his wings
Fairy waved wand o’er the alight
As he rose up high his heart strings
Strung to his excessive delight.
Fairy was joyful with her task
Worm was overwhelmed with success
Every night in flight he would bask
The fairy he'd forever bless.
