-future-

-Daily Poetry #17, February 14, 2017- Word: Future Continuing to walk forward without a real decision, Is like walking forward with a blindfold on. What will happen next? What will you do now? I can only shrug at this point, for I don't know. If I could see the future, I would tell you all the answers in the world, But fate is such a fragile thing, who says fate isn't changing as we speak? So for now, I'll walk in this decent present, And hope for a better future. When it comes to a story, the ending isn't always the happiest, Happily ever afters are fake and only come if you work for them. So for now, give me the best beginning you've got, And let me decide what I want as I continue to walk. If I could see the future, who knows if I would tell you, Because the strings are constantly being plucked. So for now, if something bad happens, let me have it, I'll find a way to work through it.
