Farewell

                   Farewell.

She never held my hand, my whole soul
My doubts stood as quiet guardians, shields
  against her cold hunger.
Her love was only for herself, a mirror with no
  reflection back.
Life is truth when spoken inward, and I have
  to listen.
She scatters minds, plants anguish in soft
Places. Turns laughter into Silence, families
   into fractured rooms.
But I am no longer hers to create more wounds
I walk in honesty , carry my own light and whisper
  to the shadows.
Head held high, eyes forward and shine bright.

                  Farewell
