By personal experience, I didn't even know. Based on a memory and I fooled myself. Why should I follow a fake dream ? Was put in artificial coma for two weeks. I have changed a lot since the accident. Now I know what really matters. Things change so fast, life can suddenly turn. It's a fact I'm paralyzed from the hips down. A settlement without hatred and tears. The insight you display in this piece of art is astounding. The realism is undeniable, even if it didn't happen to you, beautiful Sunshine, somewhere it happened to someone, and you have been channeled to pen their inspirational words, their emotions and remarkable fortitude. Well-written haibun. A true situation for many, I'm sure, your fictional account brings a positive message of new hope and new goals. For a true haiku , you might want to re-word it in the present tense: I really like the thought. new goals to strive for / life turns upside down / angels dance with pride /

This gets me thinking, Sunshine. The distance of death and life-changing events, so seemingly far, yet so realistically near. Should tragedy strike, we take a step back and adapt, A wonderful sentiment.
