waaow hollow tree~

A poor old man without family, wife or children He was fond of plants and trees Especially oak trees The oak was the king among the trees He wanted to plant his family Early one Monday morning he planted his first tree On Tuesday he planted number two On Wednesday he planted number three On Thursday he planted number four Friday, he was tired but he planted number five Saturday came and he planted two beautiful oak trees On Sunday the old man would rest Seven old oak trees planted like a castle They are hollow, empty space inside No one can count their growth rings The shell of the oak is a protection against rain, wind, cold and sun The roots are strong and the branches are long and many They are planted with love 23.09.2018 Sun :) A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved

Hi Anne-Lise, such a beautiful story. I love the content of this one, the words paint such wonderful images on the canvas of the mind. Such a beautiful write that sings into this tree lovers heart. Roots planted with love shall always grow strong and true. This has to be a fave Anne-Lise. Have a wonderful friday. Hugs....Mike. XX

You have told a really wonderful story of a old man who despite being old and tired work hard to grow these trees, the one force which motivates him was the power of love and your last line sum it up really beautifully, your this poem was certainly a pleasure to read, good luck and I also wish you a lovely weekend

A new fav of mine, for certain; I love those old trees like that and it saddens me so when they end up being cut down by those who don't appreciate trees. This was a wonderful poem; thanks so much for a great read.

Hello Dear Anne-Lise, What a great metaphor here to write about. A perfect story with the seven old oak trees planted like a castle. This was the Old Man's passion and love. Superbly Done!! Best Always, Gary
