I want to push the clouds away The morning mist creeping Near the surface is ready to emerge Whirling autumn leaves Leaving a red and orange desert ground This is right I suppose ~ the time is here now The summer was too short Runs faster than a leopard Autumn goes right through me Cold gust into my soul Allready missing the flowers with dress diamonds 09.11.2015 A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved

Yes I am missing the flowers and the warm days but we are so lucky to have very little snow so far. It has been so nice to get around. Lovely poem my friend. love phyl

Hi Anne Lise! I understand why autumn and winter are not quite up your street; the weather does not help muscular pain. That's why you yearn for summer; it's more beneficial to you. Luckily here in Malta we've had a very long summer...we're still in short sleeves! Hugs // paul

Hello Dear Anne-Lise, "Yearning" touches me deeply here with its theme of events and seasons always in a state of progressive forward motion. The images you use particularly in the second stanza project vivid power and emotion. This is a very impressive write for sure -- in my opinion. (When any event or thing "Runs faster than a leopard," it should give us all a pause to reflect!!) A 7+ in my book and this one's a FAV!! Excellent Work!! Cheers and Best, Gary

Now that it is dark when I get home (and dark when I leave in the AM), I don't have as much pleasure in the beautiful things. I like seeing the rain fall where I live, but now that only can be on weekends and it hasn't rained very much. I am going to miss the day and the flowers and leaves.

as you age my friend not only do summers grow shorter, each season grows shorter and seem to pass faster and faster...a nice poetic observation of life..
