If you believe This poem is about, a black and white COW in the shower ... You are wrong It's about ; MONKEYS Monkeys in cages Four times four meters both in width and height A sad life They are bored Shouting and screaming all day One big mouth with powerful canines Scratching their buttocks and licking toes Within this monkey cage they get sick They feel insecure and need control Creating their own rules, it's about power The result of the actions is called : Psychological deviants Hominoidea, called human monkeys ... ..could this be that box they have been telling me to think outside of.....Anne-Lise, tis my belief that any poem that makes the reader squint their eyes, chuckle, and walk away saying hmmmm has done its job. congrats on POTW...

A light hearted start to what is really a serious comment on confinement. But why should we be surprised that we imprison our nearest relatives, when we do it to our own brothers. Love the way you bring the light hearted back to finish, regards to you, Kevin xx

Hi Anne-Lise, another excellent write from your pen. A serious topic looked at as only you can. The screaming monkeys shall always scream for they are insecure. They can scream on deaf ears. Hominoidea have evolved into the monkeys we see today, its always important to evolve both in our minds and our hearts.. anyway, that was a bit of a tangent.. You are right, wild animals only scream when they are insecure.. Or hungry some times..

Yes, the cow is really getting into that shower, he loves it I believe! But the main point of your write is ever present...the power we human expel can be devastating to not only other animals but to people as well! Such a dominate poem Anne-Lise, I loved the subtle humor as well, it made the piece more fun to read! Thank you for this elaborate poem, Great work my friend!!
