* Bird Soup
Charley crouching quietly, his tail
wagging back and forth.
Intently watching the birds at the
feeder, close by.
The birds eating, flying back and
forth, his tail going faster.
He is thinking I just found my
dinner, bird soup yum.
Quick as a wink he leaps forward
for them, they flutter away.
He sits looking puzzled, wondering
why they flew away, there went dinner.
He gives up, goes back napping and
dreams of the 'bird soup that got away'
